GARLANDS (MADE US DO IT)
A song born from memories of Ibiza's workers' parties, written more than twenty years later and passed between two friends who had never actually met. What followed brought together an extraordinary cast of collaborators and ultimately created something neither had planned: Salt & Sand Records.
This is the story of the record that really did make us do it.

It wasn't part of the plan.
One record had taken Benirrás Beach Club from Balearic sunsets to soulful house and onto the dancefloor, but finding a home for every version raised an unexpected question:
Why should the music have to fit the label?
So instead of changing the music, we changed the plan.
This is the story of why we created Salt & Sand Records.

We didn't want every record to look the same.
We wanted them to look related.
From the beginning, the artwork surrounding Benirrás Beach Club was intended to be more than packaging. Different records would have different moods, different settings and different characters, but each needed to feel as though it belonged to the same world.
So we began building a visual language of our own.
This is the story of how Benirrás Beach Club found its identity.
